25 March.....Announcing LOV

Greetings Ladies!

The official beginning of the "Ladies of Velvet" (LOV) was the 14th of February 2008 when I began to more deeply understand the importance of the women in my life. In the last couple of years, I have watched the power of LOV grow. Now it is time for an annunciation opening LOV to other women around the world.

LOV is a group of women loving and supporting each other as we journey through life, centering on the feeling of being in the presence of really good girlfriends. There is a "feel" to this close relationship. It is something that can be touched. It is something pleasing to the eye. It has a richness....like Velvet! I'll write more about this another day.....

How does LOV work? Because as women, we move through monthly cycles much the moon, LOV asks members to honor this "waning and waxing" by focusing on three commitments.

1. To make time each month "to do" something which is edifying to yourself as a woman.

2. To make the time each month "to do" something for another woman.

3. To keep a record of these experiences (by writing or photographing) for accountablity to yourself each month and so that these experiences can be reflected upon at a later date.

Women of all ages, of every vocation or occupation, no matter where they live, are welcome to join LOV because it is important to learn to love and care for ourselves as we become all we are created to be.
